Library Arrangement
Books are shelved according to the Library of Congress classification system. The Library of Congress system classifies books by subject. Each subject has a corresponding letter or letters. Letters determine the general location of the book; numbers following the letter(s) more specifically identify that particular book.
Periodicals ( magazines, journals) are shelved alphabetically by title.

Circulation Policies & Loan Periods You must show a valid student or staff ID card in order to borrow materials. Reference materials, periodicals and government documents do not circulate. Other materials are to be renewed on or before the due date.
The above loan periods may be extended in person once, unless they have been requested by another library user. Any circulating item is subject to immediate recall, if needed for Course Reserve or after 7 days, if requested by another patron. Although the Library will attempt to notify readers when materials are past due, the borrower bears full responsibility for their timely return. In case of a loss of a book, journals or non-book item, the reader will be obliged to pay its replacement value in Turkish Liras at the Central Bank rate of exchange prevailing on the day of payment, plus a processing fee of 20 YTL The replacement charge is refundable if the book is returned to the library in good condition within a year.
